(ITA) Dan Leo è un artista multidisciplinare con sede operativa in Irlanda. Le sue opere abbracciano una varietà di media, dall’illustrazione digitale al lavoro murale su larga scala, ma è meglio conosciuto per le sue pennellate su tela. Dan ha uno stile grafico che è senza dubbio nato da un consumo costante di culture oscure, cartoni animati, musica e movimenti artistici di strada. L’influenza dei cartoni degli anni ’40 è evidente nel suo lavoro, in cui molto spesso raffigura la natura e gli animali in uno stile caratterizzato da linee pesanti, elementi di pattern e colori audaci.
“Gli animali sono sempre stati qualcosa per cui ho avuto rispetto e come puoi vedere sono presenti quasi esclusivamente nel mio lavoro. La natura è una fonte inesauribile di ispirazione”, afferma Dan Leo.

La Natura ci regala da sempre spettacoli più belli ed emozionanti di quanto avremmo mai potuto immaginare. Un cielo stellato, i colori del tramonto o il suono del mare. La natura è così magica che stupisce anche se stessa alle volte con un semplice battito di ali d’una farfalla.

(ENG) Dan Leo is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Ireland. His works span a variety of mediums, from digital illustration to large scale mural work but is better known for his brushwork on canvas. Dan has a graphic style that is no doubt born from a steady consumption of obscure cultures, cartoons, music and street level art movements. The influence of 40’s cartoons is evident when you look at his work which most often depicts nature and animals in a style that has heavy line work, pattern elements and is bold in colour. 

“Animals have always been something I have had respect for and as you can see feature almost exclusively in my work. Nature is a never ending source of inspiration”, says Dan Leo. 

 

AUGMENTED REALITY

Nature has always given us more beautiful and exciting shows than we could ever have imagined. A starry sky, the colors of the sunset or the sound of the sea. Nature is so magical that it even amazes itself at times with a simple flap of a butterfly’s wings.
