(ITA) Attento osservatore del mondo vivente, Russ è interessato all’evoluzione della materia e dello stato nel tempo. Le sue illustrazioni e dipinti, di carattere onirico, combinano elementi figurativi e forme più astratte. Tra presenza cosmica e dimensione organica, il suo lavoro apre all’immaginazione una libera interpretazione, interrogandosi sul rapporto che abbiamo con il nostro ambiente e per estensione con noi stessi. Le sue opere sono composizioni oniriche, a volte surreali, in cui elementi e simboli botanici ci ancorano alla sua realtà immaginata.
Il titolo di questo murales, Ephemera, si riferisce a cose che vengono stampate per un’occasione o uno scopo specifici e non sono destinate a durare o a essere preservate. L’effimero, in tal senso, potrebbe essere una descrizione della street art in generale, o una critica al modo in cui ci comportiamo verso madre natura.

Il fiore, morbido, fresco, la parte più piacevole, quella che sta sopra, in superficie; questo elemento transitorio, non permanente, effimero porta con sé il suo carattere magico e primigenio. Questo suo essere per un giorno solo potrebbe avere più valore? Ecco… allora lo regalerò a te!

(ENG) Observer of the living world, Russ is interested in the evolution of matter and state through time. His illustrations and paintings, of dreamlike substance, combine figurative elements and more abstract forms. Between cosmic presence and organic dimension, his work opens a free interpretation to the imagination, questioning the relationship we have with our environment, and by extension with ourselves.
The result of these works are dreamlike compositions, sometimes surreal, in which botanical elements and symbols anchor us to his imagined reality.
The title of the work, Ephemera, refers to things that are printed for a specific occasion or purpose, and are not meant to last or be preserved. Ephemeral meaning lasting for a very short time could be a description of street art in general, or a critique in the way we behave towards mother nature. 

 

AUGMENTED REALITY

The flower, soft, fresh, the most pleasant part, the one above, on the surface; this transitory, non-permanent, ephemeral element carries with it its magical and primal character. Could this just being for one day have more value? And then I’ll give it to you!
